Bio

When it comes to keys, multi-instrumentalist, Zoë Blackwell has them all covered on flute, saxophone, keyboard, and accordion.  Listening to her style of performance it follows that she embodies diverse qualities of women artists such as Yoko Kanno (composer of Cowboy Bebop), phenom Experanza Spalding, and Chilean flautist/dancer Viviana Gúzman.  Zoë loves all art forms but focuses on music (a myriad of jazz fusion, folk, rock, funk, and noise, among other genres) and dance (salsa and Irish dancing).

Zoë currently plays in the local alternative folk band SadBlackLab, noise music with Corporate Mascot, and drone music with Brigid's Day.  She is also often featured with noise project Old Man Hermes and local art-pop band, Movie Jail.

In addition to her classical performance training, Zoë is a composer for film and video games, and a live sound engineer.
